This is what makes adding a drive to a Drobo so simple. Unfortunately, Drobo does disappear from dashboard and that is known bug they are working on and that is why 4 stars but it is a big relief to have No RAID protection of priceless family pictures and videos.

I am not sure why the drobo is so picky on drives. Had a few problems copying files over, not allowing certain files not fa permissions but the next day no problems for the same files, seemed a bit random.
